Interfaith Poetry and Music Night UC San Diego |

On Wednesday, April 16th, 2008, MTO Sufi Association at UC San Diego hosted an Interfaith Poetry and Music Night at the San Francisco Conference Room. This intimate event consisted of speeches about Sufism, along with love poems read from the book Ghazaliat by Professor Sadegh Angha. Participation from the Catholic organization consisted of several songs sang by a choir, along with a poem on the importance of Interfaith connection. After that, individuals representing the Jewish faith explained the basis of Judaism, paired with a personal poem read in Hebrew and English. A short intermission with hot tea and pastries followed that, with the event coming to a close with more delightful Sufi poems from Whispering Moments, and a Sufi love song sang with guitar.
