Sail LA's Tall Ships! Interfaith Boating San Pedro , CA |

On Sunday April 6th the South Coast Interfaith Council sponsored an interfaith Tall Ships Sailing Event. The ship, named Irving Johnson was specially designed to be a labor intensive sail ship. Over 30 youths from various faiths and background came together to help sail the Irving Johnson. With 8 sails that are manually erected, it took the combined team effort of all the participants to make a successful expedition of the 3 hour sail around San Pedro Bay. The MTO Sufi Association along with members from many different faiths in the community participated together to make this Tall Ships event a successful adventure for all.
