On Sunday January 27, 2008 at the Orange Coast Unitarian Universalist Church in Costa Mesa, California, the MTO Sufi Association Zikr Group performed and participated in the Church's celebration of World Religion Day. The two religions they focused on for the service were Buddhism and Islam. The day included Buddhist chanting, the singing of hymns and skit portrayals of Buddhist and Islamic stories. There were two services, one at 9:30am and one at 11:30am. The Zikr group performed a zikr that opened the service and also one near the end of the service.
