Hazrat Shah Maghsoud Sadegh Angha was born February 4, 1916, and in commemoration of his holiness’ birthday, MTO Sufi Association® performed “Khidmat” (Service) by feeding and clothing the homeless and the needy in Berkeley, California on January 31, 2009. The experience was unforgettable and we were able to spread some our love by uniting as a team and giving back to our community. Khidmat is a very important practice in Sufism as it is meant to teach the individual about the self and society, responsibility to one’s community and to those less fortunate, and about love and peace not only in one’s own life but in the world.
