"Essence of abundance is servitude’s prize"
-- Hazrat Shah Maghsoud --
Ghazaliat

Community service is a part of one of the major principles of Sufism called “Khidmat” which means “to serve”.
At the social level, “Khidmat” refers to serving other people and serving our communities.  However, “Khidmat” comes in many forms and is applicable to different aspects of one’s life such as personal, social, and spiritual.
Inline with this Sufism principle, members of MTO Sufi Association appreciate the opportunity to serve their community in different capacities.

Community Service

Members of MTO Sufi Association and the San Ramon Youth Group participated in a build day at the Alameda Habitat for Humanity East Bay construction site.  Each year, volunteers contribute 35,000 hours of hard work to build homes and to make the dream of homeownership a reality for deserving families.  MTO Youth Group is proud to donate their time and to work alongside the families who will own the completed homes.
