“ That there might grow out of you a community [of people] who invite unto all that is good, and enjoin the doing of what is right and forbid the doing of what is wrong: and it is they, they who shall attain to a happy state” --Holy Qur’an: 3:104--
One of the eight principles of Sufism presented by Hazrat Salaheddin Ali Nader Angha in Wealth of Soluk is “Khidmat”, which literally means “to serve.”
The MTO Sufi Association members attempt to develop a sense of unity with their communities and ultimately themselves by participating in various local outreach programs. Our members experience an unparalleled sense of accomplishment through engaging in activities such as providing aid to the needy, cleaning local parks, and building homes for the homeless. The act of "Khidmat" proves to not only strengthen the bond between Sufi Association® members and our communities, but also function as a critical requisite in the path of cognizing one's true self.
